What types of therapy do you offer?

We are a speech therapy only clinic. Our specialty areas are early language development (birth to five), articulation and orofacial myology, and autism.

What ages do you work with?

We primarily work with children 12 and under in our clinic. However, we do have a couple of therapists who have specializations in working with older children.

Question 3

Do you offer home or school visits? What about teletherapy?

We do not offer home of school visits. All of our sessions either take place in our clinic or virtually.

Do I need a referral for speech therapy?

Accepted Answer

For most PPO insurance plans, you do not need a referral for speech therapy. However, you may require an authorization or prescription from your doctor (Our team helps with these). Cedars Sinai HMO plans require a referral from your doctor.

Do you accept insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Playhouse provides insurance-based speech therapy for kids in Los Angeles. We accept Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and all Cedars Sinai HMOs. We courtesy bill for out of network providers so that you don’t have to handle the reimbursement paperwork.

How long and how much are therapy sessions?

The majority of our families come for two 30 minute sessions per week. Your cost per session will depend on your insurance coverage. If you have an out of network plan and are paying out of pocket, the cost per session is $140. We will submit your claims to your plan to see if you can receive out of network coverage.

What if I can only come after school?
